About the photographer

Harika Topaloğlu Yücel

After she graduated respectively from Üsküdar American Girls' High School and the Istanbul University Faculty of Economics, she worked at her own textile company for 14 years. Photography has been a love of hers, which started during her high school years. After she ended her professional career in textiles, she took photography lessons from
Izzet Keribar for two terms in order to do it more professionally.

She joined Niko Guido's workshops and projects to improve herself much more. In addition to these, she took part in Salih Güler's "Dusty Dance", "Salt Lake", "Kars Workshops" and "Backstage" projects. Mainly she works on street, travel and documentary-themed photography. Her photos have been exhibited in many mixed project exhibitions and published in various photography books, both domestically and internationally. One of her photographs was exhibited at 20th Nancy Biennale. She thinks that life is a moment, and she said that she utilizes photography in order to keep those moments and memories.
